This statement confirms that I, Louise Socratous, uses and protects any information that you give to me when you use my services. I am committed to safeguarding and protecting your information.

Any personal data provided by you through any means (verbal, written, in electronic form, or by your use of my website which is SSL encrypted) will be held and processed in accordance with the data protection principles set out in the Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation for the purposes for which you have given consent, to provide the services you have requested from me, and to meet legitimate interests of my business.

The purpose of this statement is to let you know what personal information I collect and hold, why I collect this data, and your rights over your personal data. I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

I collect personal information from you when you enquire about counselling services in order to set up an initial appointment. This information includes contact details, your availability and other relevant personal information. The information you provide will be stored securely, for five years which is required for my insurance. After this time, it will be permanently erased.

I will not share your personal details with any other person or organisation without your knowledge and permission, unless there is a legal requirement.

If you would like to see the information I hold about you, or would like to correct, update or delete any records, please let me know.
